Keith Richards: I Snorted My Father

I consider myself close to my dad, but I’d never want tohave the man inside of my nasal passages. Keith Richards does not share this sentiment.
When asked what was the strangest thing he ever tried to snort, Mr. Richards told NME magazine: “The strangest thing I’ve tried to snort? My father. I snorted my father.”
“He was cremated and I couldn’t resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow. My dad wouldn’t have cared, he didn’t give a sh*t. It went down pretty well, and I’m still alive.”
His worst drug-related experience, barring the patrimonialsniff, would be when somebody put strychnine inhis dope.
“It was in Switzerland,” he recalled.I was totally comatose, but I was totally awake. I could listen to everyone, and they were like, ‘He’s dead, he’s dead!’, waving their fingers and pushing me about, and I was thinking, ‘I’m totally not dead!’”

God Bless Keith, I’m very glad he did not snort up his dad because I had a dear friend who did, and it caused severe childhood flash backs, remembering his turbulent times with his dad.
