Diving Bell Marion CotillardThe winners of the 2007 Boston Society of Film Critics Awards have been announced, and the season is officially into overdrive.

The Coens picked up another Best Picture prize and Javier Bardem beat out Casey Affleck this time around to pick up Supporting Actor kudos.

The Diving Bell And The Butterfly picked up a trio of awards from the BSFC: Best Director, Cinematography, and Foreign Language Film. Sadly, French actor Mathieu Amalric has yet to be singled out for his moving performance as Jean-Dominique Bauby.

However, French actress extraordinaire Marion Cotillard did snag Best Actress, the prize that had been given to Julie Christie by the National Board Of Review.  Another first-time winner for the season was Frank Langella for Best Actor in Starting Out in the Evening.  Take that, George Clooney!

An additional tip of the hat goes to Amy Ryan, the actress that came out of virtually nowhere and has picked up Best Supporting Actress from the first two major groups.
