American Idol: Simon On Jordin Sparks v. Blake Lewis, Sanjaya

The American Idol finale begins tonight and Simon Cowell has taken his last opportunity to talk about the showdown between Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis as well as his favorite subject — Sanjaya Malakar.
In an interview with People, he confided his belief that Sparks and Lewis will “both chose their favorite song from what they’ve done over the past 11 weeks — and I’m hoping Blake will do the Bon Jovi song because I thought it was his best performance. And I don’t know what Jordin will do.”
Looks like the man will remain neutral until the bitter end. And it’s funny how Simon has grown more affectionate towards Sanjaya as more time passes.
“I would never want to be in a situation where we cast the 12 as just normal people because I think it would be boring,” he said. ”The panel is wacky enough and therefore I think the contestants should be a bit strange as well. And I thought the whole Sanjaya thing was hysterical. I’m happy now because he’s out. I don’t think I’d be happy if he was in the finals, so I can now be quite smug about it.”
The two-part finale begins tonight…but you already knew that.
You got be kidding me about Sanjays’s remarks. Have you got a single vote from your house when you sang last time? Sanjaya is a 17 year old talented kid. He will be fine despite below average intellects who claim to be writers.
Compare yourself when you were 17 and you may find answer if you are smart, else you need serious help.
Can’t wait to see Sanjaya again - and hear him! While there are better singers, and he isn’t a bad singer, no one captured the attention of the country like Sanjaya Malakar!
And that’s what it’s all about. A combination of personality and talent. Sanjaya has both.
Give me a break! AI owes Sanjaya BIG TIME this season. Sure, he may have not been a favorite of some die-hard AI fans, but he brought a whole new segment of people, like myself, who had never watched the show before. Without these new viewers, and all the HYPE surrounding Sanjaya, where would Idol be now? The proof will be how much AI capitalizes on Sanjaya tonight.

I believe that the media was just tryng raise up some drama to get more people to watch American Idol (which of course will get more money) we just fail for it . I would like everyone to know Sanjaya came in with a dream and “you all” ruined it for him.
