Robert De Niro, Al Pacino To Reunite On ‘Kill’
Published by Rachel Baumbach May 17th, 2007 in Entertainment, Movies.Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, arguably the best actors of their generation, will be pairing up to star in the $60 million indie production Righteous Kill.
The two previously starred in The Godfather: Part 2, which De Niro won an Oscar for, but he and Pacino never appeared onscreen together. Two decades later, the duo faced off in Heat, but they shared a miniscule two scenes together.
But for Righteous Kill, viewers won’t be left feeling short-changed.
“You see those two icons onscreen together for virtually the whole film,” said Millenium Films’ Avi Lerner, “(something) never seen before in the history of cinema. It’s one of the hardest deals we’ve ever done to put these two actors together.”
Jon Avnet (eek!) is set to direct the screenplay written by Russell Gewirtz, who is riding high off of his Inside Man success. Not much is known about the story except that it follows two cops chasing a serial killer.

Please not Jon Avnet to Direct! Piece of sh** director.
