Retailer Slashes PS3 Price (For A Few Days)
Published by Robert Staehlin April 6th, 2007 in Tech, Sony, PlayStation 3.Good things come to those who wait, especially when it comes to purchasing a PS3.
WH Smith has blinked first, becoming the first major High Street retailer carrying PS3 to slash the price of Sony’s next generation console. MCV is reporting that the promotion lasts until Tuesday April 10th, during which WH Smith is offering the PlayStation 3 for 399.99, which is a full 25 off the suggested price.
The website Spong contacted retailer GAME to see if they plan to join in on the price cut jamboree. Fiona Haldane, GAME’s UK PR Exec, informed them that”I can confirm that we will not be dropping the price of our PS3 and unfortunately we cannot provide a comment on how other retailers price their consoles.”
WH Smith it will have to be, then.
