Wii Virtual Console There is always the potential for games that haven't seen the light of day in Europe to be on the Virtual Console. It is the perfect platform for them With all this Wii Virtual Console talk today, this will be the final mention of the Nintendo Wii retro-fest…for at least a day or so. Nintendo has now confirmed that games that were never released on Europe’s VC may be coming our way.

“There is always the potential for games that haven’t seen the light of day in Europe to be on the Virtual Console. The Virtual Console is the perfect platform for them,” a Nintendo UK spokesperson told Eurogamer.

“Obviously any game not ever released in Europe would have to under go the PEGI and BBFC ratings process,” he added.

And this means not just first party titles, but obscure third party games could be crossing over as well.

“I can’t speak for third parties, but if it’s the right game then there’s absolutely no reason why it should just be a first party game,” the Nintendo spokesperson confirmed.
