Nintendo Wii Closer To Sam And Max?

Sam And Max It started as just a pipe dream, but it appears that we’re one step closer to seeing Sam And Max title on Wii. It was back in September when we reportedabout a grassroots campaign for Tellgame Games to get the beloved title onto Nintendo’s new console..

Has it worked? There’s no out-and-out confirmation, but the Telltale website is now hiring a Wii Systems Programmer. Hmmm…

We have an immediate opening for a Systems Programmer. This position will be responsible for implementing our core 3D graphics and audio systems. This is a full time position at our San Rafael location.

Responsibilities

Migrate core components of D3D based PC game engine to the Wii
Implement additional platform specific features
Modify and support existing art and production path to accommodate Wii production
Contribute to the design and direction of Telltale Technology and products.

Requirements

Fluent C/C++ (templates, design patterns, STL, etc). Minimum 2 years professional experience.
Experience designing and building game systems on consoles.
Minimum of 1 shipped game title.
Teamwork, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
Attentive to detail

Additional Preferred

Prior experience with Wii or GameCube.
Working knowledge of Lua implementation.
C# experience.
Maya experience (as a user and API).
Experience in natural language processing.
Love of adventure games.

    Please, please, PLEASE! Release these games on the Wii. I’m not signing up to a monthly subscription service to get Sam and Max, but I’ll plop down $50 on the game!
    The original Sam and Max Hit the Road was one of my favorites, and I still quote them occasionally (not that anyone gets it when I do).
