Wii & PSP Add A New Slug To The Mix

Nintendo Wii and PSP have a Metal Slug Anthology on the way that consists of six Metal Slug titles. One would think that would fulfill most gamers’ desire for MS, but SNK Playmore/Ignition Entertainment has upped the ante for Wii and PlayStation Portable.
Metal Slug 6 will now be included in the anthology to make the title spill over with seven, count ‘em, seven games. For the uninitiated, one of the games is titled with an “X” instead of a number; that’s how it winds up being 7. Yes, I had to look it up to make sure. The title had previously been unreleased outside of Japan but was quite successful in the arcades.
“The inclusion of Metal Slug 6 in the Anthology, means that an all ready great package has just got a whole lot better”, proclaimed Peter Rollinson, Product Manager, Ignition Entertainment Ltd. ‘Metal Slug Anthology now offers something for everyone.”
Some other features include: 2 Player Co-op play via wireless multiplayer, full support for both widescreen and original screen format, unlockable itemsm and bonus Galleries containing classic poster and character art as well as other Metal Slug goodies.
