Sega Sneaks PS3 Golf Title In For Launch
Published by Robert Staehlin September 17th, 2006 in Gaming, Sony, PlayStation 3, PP.Just when we thought we were getting a good feel for what the PS3 launch lineupwas going to look like, Sega snuckup and threw in Sega Golf Club. The official title for the PlayStation 3 game is actually Miyazato San Kyoudai Naizou Sega Golf Club, which translates to “Sega Golf Club, with the Miyazato Siblings Built In.” Sega Golf Club takes less breath to say out loud.
The game is named after the Miyazato siblings; they’re a brother, brother, sister trio (Kiyoshi Miyazato,Yusaku Miyazato, andAi Miyazato ) of professional Japanese golfers. We hadn’t heard of them, but to be completely honest, we’re a bit out of touch with the Japanese links circuit.
The PlayStation 3 version of the game will feature Taiheiyo Club, Phoenix Country Club, Bali Hai Golf Club and St. Andrews Links. Like the arcade game, the next-gen version will also have courses exclusively made as well. The circuit will be crowded in Japan; Sony’s own Minna no Golf 5 (Hot Shots Golf 5) is also set be released at launch as well.
Miyazato San Kyoudai Naizou Sega Golf Club will be released on November 11 in Japan; we’ll let you know if and when the title gets a wider release.
