Nintendo DS Will Have Its Cake
Published by Ian Klein September 11th, 2006 in Gaming, Nintendo, DS/DS Lite, PP.Nintendo DS is about to get its cake on; Cake Mania is coming to Nintendo’s handheld. Majesco Entertainment Company will be publishing the title, based on Sandlot Games’ online game. The game revolves around frenetic baking, as well the as pressure of customer service, handing out menus, collecting cash…the things that a person running a bakery would have to endure.
“Mania is the key word here, because what starts as a manageable day at the bakery quickly blossoms into a chaotic flurry of customer service, baking, frosting and decorating,” said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing, Majesco Entertainment. “Given its tremendous popularity and mouse-driven mechanics, Cake Mania was the perfect title to offer Nintendo DS owners looking for a portable experience that makes the most of their stylus.”
“Cake Mania is a natural fit for the Nintendo DS platform,” said Daniel Bernstein, President and CEO, Sandlot Games. “We are confident that through our partnership with Majesco, baking cakes will be the new rage on the DS in 2007.” CM is due out early 2007 for $19.99.
